Angel Appearing to the Shepherds
The stamp used in this brooch comes from the Royal Mail set of commemorative Christmas stamps issued in 1979.
Christmas Cracker Brooch
This brooch is based around an image of Father Christmas pulling a Christmas cracker with 2 children. John Gorham was the designer of the image.
Christmas Angel Brooch
Irene von Treskow designed the stamp used here. The Royal Mail issued this stamp in 1998.
Glastonbury Thorn Christmas Brooch
The Glastonbury Thorn is said to have first blossomed from the staff of Joseph of Arimathea when Joseph visited Britain from the Holy Land. Lynda Gray designed this 1986 stamp.
Christmas Angel with Trumpet Brooch
Sally Stiff designed the stylish stamp used for this brooch. The Christmas Angel stamp was issued in 1972.
Father Christmas with Cracker Brooch
This brooch features a traditional stamp image of Father Christmas holding a cracker. John Gorham designed the stamp which was issued in Christmas 1997.

Brooch based on a charming traditional scene with 2 children building a snowman in a churchyard.
Christmas Post with Pillar Box
Another traditional looking brooch. This brooch shows some colourful birds holding mail flying around a red pillar box. Tony Meeuwissen designed the stamp which was issued in Christmas 1983.
Three Shepherds Christmas Brooch
Another traditional looking piece of jewellery. This brooch is based on the 5d stamp issued for Christmas 1969.
Child’s Father Christmas Brooch
This bright representation of a cheery Father Christmas was the work of 5yr old Samantha Brown from Rhoose in Glamorgan. It resulted from a competition run by the Blue Peter children’s tv programme.
Tanad Valley Plygain Brooch
This image shows the Plygain or early Christmas morning carol service. This brooch shows the Plygain taking place in the Tanad Valley .
King of the Orient Christmas Brooch
This brooch incorporates a Christmas stamp from 1966. The 2 stamps issued as Christmas commemorative stamps were the result of a Blue Peter competition for children.
The 1966 Christmas issue represented the first time special stamps were issued by the GPO for Christmas. The previous year however had seen the launch of special Christmas aerogrammes or air letters.
