Captain Scarlet
Captain Scarlet and the Mysterons was first shown on UK tv on 29 September 1967.
It ran for a total of 32 episodes over 1 series.
Fireball XL5
Fireball XL5 ran for 39 episodes first airing on UK tv on 28 October 1962.
The programme was the last Gerry Anderson production shot in black and white.
Joe 90
9 year old Joe McClaine is the hero of this Gerry Anderson series first shown on television in 1968.
Joe 90 was the last series from Gerry Anderson made exclusively in Supermarionation.
Stingray
First shown in 1964, Stingray featured Captain Troy Tempest working for the World Aquanaut Security Patrol (WASP).
There were 39 episodes in total with the last airing on 27 June 1965.
Supercar
It featured a vertical takeoff and landing craft piloted by Mike Mercury.
Gerry Anderson wed production assistant Sylvia Thamm during production. After their wedding ceremony Gerry and Sylvia returned to the studio to fit Supercar’s opening title sequence.
Thunderbirds
Probably the best known of Gerry Anderson’s series the original Thunderbirds series ran for 2 series with a total of 32 full length episodes.
Lady Penelope’s pink Rolls Royce FAB 1 and the iconic theme music (The Thunderbirds March composed by Barry Gray) are both still recognised today. This illustrates how the series has stood the test of time.
