Royal Academy 250th birthday
The Royal Academy of Arts celebrated 250 years with a set of six stamps released by Royal Mail. Each stamp is designed by a well known artist or academic. Creators include Grayson Perry, Tracey Emin, Yinka Shonibare, Fiona Rae, Norman Ackroyd and Barbara Rae.

Norman Ackroyd’s St Kilda: The Great Sea Stacs, showcases rock formations from off the coast of Hebridean Archipelago.
Barbara Rae Brooch
Inverleith Allotments and Edinburgh Castle by printmaker Barbara Rae has an abstract picture of Edinburgh Castle and the surrounding park.
Grayson Perry Brooch
Grayson Perry’s stamp, named Summer Exhibition, shows the animated Essex-born artist stood at the centre of exhibits on show at the Royal Academy’s London base. The stamp coincided with the opening of the Summer Exhibition on 12th June 2018, which the artist coordinated.
